Speaking on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, Eric Davis gave his take on why the former Mississippi State quarterback is overrated when it comes to the recent NFL Network top 100 list. (Prescott checked in at No. 14.)
Listen to Davis’ perspective below on why Prescott should be considered the 14th-best quarterback in the NFL, not the 14th-best player.
That’s an interesting opinion. It seems a little far-fetched that Prescott would be the No. 14 quarterback in the NFL after be broke out for 3,667 yards passing with 23 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in 2016.
It’s debatable whether the former Mississippi State star is the No. 14 player in the league. After all, that ranking places him in a near-elite position.
Still, Davis seems to be too harsh with his analysis. It’s easy to argue that Prescott is one of the 10 best quarterbacks in the league after his did so much for the Cowboys last season.
It will be fun to follow the player’s growth this fall. If Prescott has another big year, expect him to climb NFL Network’s list this time next year.
